Mount Pleasant Countertops

Countertops in Mount Pleasant, SC

Palmetto Surfacing has installed kitchens in Mount Pleasant since 1984. Your countertops are cut in our own shop in North Charleston, about 17 miles away, and installed by our own crew, so one company answers for the job from the slab to the last caulk line.

Remodeling near the water

Homes by the marsh and the harbor live with humidity all year and salt that settles on every surface. That shapes what we recommend. Start with a showroom appointment, where you can put quartz, granite, and quartzite next to each other. Bring cabinet drawings or measurements, and your quote comes by email within 48 hours of receiving dimensions. Once the new cabinets are set, we laser-template on site.

Countertops for coastal Mount Pleasant kitchens.

Near the water we usually point people to nonporous quartz, including Cambria, because salt air has nothing to soak into. Granite and quartzite work too if you keep them sealed. We also cut marble and DuPont Corian for kitchens and baths.

Wipe salt and moisture off quickly and use a pH-neutral cleaner. That covers most of what coastal living does to a countertop. Our coastal homes guide explains why.
